Figuration: Geeking Out

The definition for this figuration was inspired by Mizuko Ito and her collaborators’ (2010, p.67) investigation of online youth cultures: 

“Geek cred involves learning to navigate esoteric domains of knowledge and practice and being able to participate in communities that traffic in these forms of expertise”

The purpose of these videos is to provide entertainment for viewers in the sense that it emphasizes comedy or story while still placing emphasis on the performance of technical dexterity with Photoshop.
